Hollywood Drive-In Golf coming to Citywalk Orlando in 2012

Universal Orlando announced a new attraction coming to Citywalk in early 2012 that will be different and fun so everyone can enjoy it. Opening in early 2012 near the AMC theaters at Citywalk will be a 36-hole miniature golf course, Hollywood Drive-In Golf.

The course will be split into two sections, “The Haunting of Ghostly Greens” and “Invaders from Planet Putt”, each with 18 holes, set to Sci-Fi films of the 1950’s. During their mini-golf games, guests will experience movie style scenes as they pass under a spider, through a flying saucer, through a cemetery, and through the basement of a haunted house.

“We created Hollywood Drive-In to be fun and different and something everyone can enjoy,” said Ric Florell, senior vice president and general manager of resort revenue operations. “We used creative theming and state-of-the-art technology to take the experience to the next level. It’s perfect for Universal CityWalk – whether you are playing at 11am or 11pm.”

Whether you’re playing by sunset or after the sun has set, LED lighting around the edges of the course will allow for fun no matter what time of day it is!

Construction is set to begin this summer. For more information about Citywalk, visit Universal Orlando’s official website at http://universalorlando.com.
