Christmas celebrations are getting ready to kick off across Walt Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an “after-hours” event at the Magic Kingdom on select nights between November 8 and December 18.

  • Castle Dream Lights
  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade – special appearance by Santa and Duffy the Bear
  • Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season – Exclusive firework show for the party
  • Live entertainment, including Disney characters
  • Meet and greets with Disney characters in holiday attire; Including Phineas & Ferb in Tomorrowland, Seven Dwarfs in Frontierland, and Duffy the Bear in Town Sqaure
  • Snow fall on Mainstreet USA
  • Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate
  • Select rides and attractions open

Castle Dream Lights

Each night now through January 3, Cinderella’s Castle will be lit up at dusk in a special ceremony. Disney characters will take the stage to magically transform the castle into an ice palace. The castle will shimmer all night long as visitors celebrate the holidays.

The Magic, The Memories and You!

Earlier this year, “The Magic, The Memories and You!” made it’s grand debut at the Magic Kingdom. Through the use of digital 3D mapping and several projectors located through out the park, they project quite a unique show onto Cinderella’s Castle.


For the holidays, Disney will be updating one of the segments. Cinderella’s Castle will appear to be made of Gingerbread, covered in bows, gift paper, and candy stripes. This seasonal part of the show will debut tomorrow night. Disneyland will also be getting their own version (read more here).

Epcot

Candlelight Processional

Nightly beginning November  25 through December 30, a celebrity narrator will take the stage and tell the story of Christ’s birth. Shows are at 5pm, 6:45pm, and 8:15pm in the America Gardens Theater.

Holidays around the World

Through out the World Showcase, story tellers will share traditions and tales from their country. Meet and Greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus in American Adventure and celebrate other holidays too, including Kwanzaa and Hanukkah.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Nightly from November 10th to January 7th (except December 8th), Hollywood Studios Backlot will virtually turn into a city of lights. The lights will dance and dazzle before your eyes, synchronized to high-energy holiday music.

Animal Kingdom

Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade

Beginning November 10, King Louie and Baloo will lead a safari style parade through Animal Kingdom daily at 4pm through January 3.

Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is a perfect place to buy a Disney gifts for your friends and families, shop for ornaments and Christmas decorations. You can also get your portrait with Santa Claus from November 19 through December 24.

Resort Hotels

While visiting the Grand Floridian, Disney’s Beach Club and Resort, the Contemporary, The Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club, or the Boardwalk, you’ll encounter life-size ginger bread houses made from yummy snacks, including Gingerbread, Honey, Powdered Sugar, and more.

If you visit during the day, you can also buy yummy snacks out of the live-size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.
