Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood to let fans choose a scare zone

Halloween Horror Nights in both Hollywood and Orlando are a feverish group. They chomp at the bit for any kind of information, and support their favorite time of year in droves. Sunday, during the second annual Monsterpalooza, Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood fans showed up in hoards to hopefully hear a snippet of what will be coming to HHN Hollywood this year. What they got was a little bit more.

John Murdy and Chris Williams from Universal Studios Hollywood were on hand to make a huge announcement at Monsterpalooza. They later made the announcement via Twitter for those who couldn’t attend.

Just announced at #Monsterpalooza – You’ll get to choose a theme for one of our Scare Zones at this year’s event! Details coming later next month…#UniversalHHN

It’s a first in HHN Hollywood history. Fans will get to choose what will scare them at this year’s event. This isn’t the first time that Horror Nights has put the fate of the event in the fans hands. Last year, fans submitted designs for a “Create A Character” contest. They gave the design duties over to the fans, and let them design and come up with their own takes on a classic Universal Monster. This year it sounds a little simpler, as they will give fans the chance to choose the theme.

Knowing the maniacal minds behind HHN Hollywood, however, we’re certain there will be something else to it. Details will be released next month, and we’re sure there’s going to be more to it than what we see now.

Stay tuned for more from HHN Hollywood, and be sure to follow along with us on Twitter @BehindThrills for the latest updates!
