Walt Disney World plans huge festivities for 4th of July weekend

Memorial Day is already in the rear view mirror and the 4th of July is quickly approaching. With Summer in full swing, there’s plenty to do at many of the nation’s theme parks this upcoming 4th of July weekend. Walt Disney World has planned a huge line up for guests who will be visiting their theme parks.

Fireworks light up the sky and illuminated image projections create a patriotic exterior on Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Spectacular fireworks displays with brilliant bursts of light coloring the night sky above the theme parks have been a Walt Disney World Resort entertainment specialty for decades. The July 4th fireworks typically are one of the most elaborate nighttime spectacles ever seen at a Disney theme park. (David Roark, photographer)
