Can you feel it? We are getting very close to living in a world where there’s a new Harry Potter universe adventure! The day is even closer as the studio unveils the first logo from the film. The new film will be based on a character mentioned briefly in the books, and who also got a short book all his own.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will take audiences on the adventures of Newt Scamander as he travels the globe in search of of magical creatures. The film will be directed by long time Harry Potter director, David Yates, and will star  Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Gemma Chan and Faith Wood-Blagrove.

The film hits theaters on November 8th, 2016 and will be the first in a planned trilogy that is being penned by J.K. Rowling herself. Filming is already underway, and we should start to see some teases very soon.

In fact, it’s being whispered that the very first trailer, or footage of the film will be screened at Universal Orlando for the huge Celebration of Harry Potter. That’s not been confirmed yet, but given that the park and the cast of the Harry Potter films like to surprise their fans, it’s very much in the realm of possibility. A Celebration of Harry Potter happens in January.

The new film will not be a Harry Potter film, but will take place in the Wizarding World that J.K. Rowling has created. It is said that it will take place roughly 75 years before the first Harry Potter, so we will not see any familiar characters, at least not as adults.
