All hail the Snake King! The all new coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa has officially reached it’s highest point, as the 80 foot Snake King has been installed on the ride! The new coaster will take guests on a frantically spinning ride, right through the jaws of the Snake King as he awakens from his slumber.

While there is still tons of work left to do on the all new insane family spinning coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa, one of the main pieces from the artwork was installed today. The 80 foot tall Snake King was constructed in nine pieces, and has four foot long fangs, three foot tall eyes…and during your ride you come face to fang with him!

Video-Check out construction on his majesssssty!

The Snake King will greet guests as they come off of the 70 foot tall vertical lift. It’s a first of it’s kind, with two elevator lifts that will bring cars face to face with the Snake King, before they go on a whirling rampage through the track.

Cobra’s Curse is going from just a family spinning coaster, to a family adventure, as the crews get ready to complete track and start testing. The coaster is on schedule for an opening later this summer. It will take guests into the world of snakes, and bring the face to scale with the creatures.
