Florida Attractions start reopenings after Hurricane Matthew

                             

Luckily, Hurricane Matthew went a bit more eastern than expected, and that has luckily spared Florida from the worst part of Hurricane Matthew. Central Florida where most of the parks are located we’re forecasted to get Hurricane strength winds, but luckily only received tropical storm forced winds. The Central Flordia attractions have started to announce when they will be reopening.

Walt Disney World:

The Theme Parks and Water Parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex are to reopen on Saturday. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party  re-booking, refunds, and other options will resume at 9AM Eastern Time on Monday, October 10, 2016. 

Disney Springs will be reopening at 5pm for Walt Disney World hotel guests only with a limited number of locations will be open. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds will reopen on Saturday. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, Mickey’s Backyard BBQ performances at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds and The Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort will be resume on Saturday. Spa Locations including the La Vida Health Club at Disney’s Coronado Springs, Senses and both The Grand Floridan and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and both the Ship Shape Massage Salon and Fitness at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club will reopen on Saturday. Characters in Flight is will remain closed

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds will reopen on Saturday. Characters in Flight is will remain closed till Sunday. Walt Disney World has been working with guests on cancellations, and waiving the cancellation fees.

Park Hours for Saturday are as Follow:

  • Magic Kingdom: 8am-Midnight
  • Epcot: 8am-10pm
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 8am-8pm
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8am-8:30pm Extra Magic Hours: 7am-8am
  • Disney Springs: 10am-Midnight
  • Disney’s Blizzard Beach: 10am-5pm
  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon: 10am-5pm
  • Miniature Golf Courses: 10am-11pm
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports: 6:45am-3:30pm (No Events are Scheduled)
  • EPCOT World Showcase will open at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Frozen Ever After will open at 8AM.

Universal Orlando Resort: Universal Studios Florida will be open at 7am for Early Park Admission and 8am for all other guests. Universal’s Islands of Adventure will open at 9am for all guests. Universal CityWalk will operate normally on Saturday and Halloween Horror Nights 26 will also open Saturday night.

Due to how Matthew went, Busch Gardens was allowed to remain open, and Howl-o-Scream hasn’t been canceled and will continue as scheduled.

LEGOLAND Florida will reopen Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9 from 10am-8pm. Brick or Treat will take place as scheduled. We will remain closed today.

SeaWorld Orlando will operate from noon to 7 p.m on Saturday. Aquatica will open at noon and close at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Discovery Cove will resume normal operating hours on Saturday; visitors can check in beginning at 7:15 a.m.

Crayola Experience inside Florida Mall will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday. WonderWorks opened at 2pm today. Fun Spot attractions near International Drive in Orlando and in Kissimmee are to reopen Friday at 6 p.m.

I-Drive 360 will be open Friday night as well with several attractions and restaurants ready. The Orlando Eye will remain closed.
