A new wave of yum-Volcano Bay releases tide of new flavors

When you think of amazing food and new flavors, admit it, you don’t really think of waterparks. Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay is about to change that as they are rolling out a sneak peek of the menu from the four (yes four!) different restaurants at the new water theme park.

First, four new restaurants is absolutely crazy. Usually waterparks have one or two small restaurants with a couple of snack stands. You also have to worry about tracking all through the park to get your wallet, and then back. It’s really inconvenient. However Volcano Bay will have the restaurants spread throughout the park to make it a lot easier.

While we don’t have the exact specifics, here’s the run down of all the restaurants in the park:

Kohola Reef Restaurant & Social Club- Located in the Wave Village portion of the park this restaurant will feature tangy Mango BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, tasty Quinoa Edamame Burgers and crunchy Coconut Crusted Fried Chicken. It’ll be a relaxing break at the base of Krakatau.

Kunuku Boat Bar- This permanently beached outrigger canoe is the place to refresh with specialty drinks, beers and of course sodas and other drinks for the entire family.

Whakawaiwai Eats- In the River Village portion of the park you can feast on BBQ Chicken Pizza, Tropical Baby Greens salad, Hawaiian Pizza and more.

Bambu- Located in the Rainforest Village this cool, shaded hideaway made of elegant stalks of bamboo offers a mouthwatering selection of quick and easy eats. Choose from imaginative island fare such as the Reka Burger, Pretzel Dog or the Tropical Fruit Salad.

The Feasting Frog- Venture into this patio seating area that is shaped like a frog for Poke Poke Bowl, Taco Sampler, or Plantain Chips & Guacamole.

Dancing Dragons Boat Bar- Another beached canoe is the place to find more drinks and cocktails under the shade of the rainforest.
There are over 60 different items to try at the various restaurants, and they’re all a bit different than your typical waterparks food. Volcano Bay is definitely looking to change the way you vacation. Volcano Bay opens on May 25th!
