AT D23 EXPO 2017, DISNEY PARKS CHAIRMAN BOB CHAPEK ANNOUNCES NEW STAR WARS-THEMED HOTEL FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT — During D23 Expo 2017, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek announced plans to create the most experiential concept ever in an immersive Star Wars-themed hotel at Walt Disney World Resort. Dedicated entirely to the galaxy of Star Wars, it will be a one-of-a-kind experience where a luxury resort meets a multi-day adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
Holy CRAP! A new Star Wars Hotel is opening at Walt Disney World! The rumors are true, and you will be able to take part in a Star Wars Story like never before. The new hotel will put guests into the world of Star Wars, as they board a starship and leave Earth.
“It’s unlike anything that exists today.” Bob said. “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire. Once you leave Earth, you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you. It is 100% immersive, and the story will touch every single minute of your day, and it will culminate in a unique journey for every person who visits.”

Guests will be able to fully interact with Star Wars characters and never leave the story from the moment they board, until the moment they leave. The new hotel will have windows that look out into space, as you fully leave earth behind.
The new hotel does not have an opening date, but shut up and take my money now. We’ve heard all kinds of rumors about the hotel, as guests can partake in as much or as little of the story that they want. They can live Star Wars, or they can be just a tourist passing through. The concept of this is like a Cruise Ship, where guests will have everything they need at the hotel, and leave throughout the day for different adventures in the park.
It completely raises the bar for the themed entertainment industry and how guests vacation.
