Disney Skyliner transportation system will transport guests in a new way at Walt Disney World

The long rumored gondola transportation system has been confirmed today at the 2017 D23 Expo. Guests at Walt Disney World will be able to utilize a new type of transportation that will connect several resort hotels to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot. This new type of transportation will be in addition to the bus system and the monorail system in place on Walt Disney World property to allow guests to move from one location to the next.

The gondola transportation system, Disney Skyliner, will connect Disney’s Pop Century, Disney’s Art of Animation, and Caribbean Beach to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot.

Guests who travel via Disney Skyliner will have a bird’s eye view of Disney property from their gondola. Gondolas will feature some of Disney’s favorite characters like Mikey and Minnie Mouse. No opening date has yet to be announced for Disney Skyliner.
