Universal Orlando announces new Wizarding World coaster in 2019, sets closing date for Dragon Challenge

Today Universal Orlando confirmed the rumors, a new ride is coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The new coaster will open in 2019 and will be the highest themed coaster it's made to date.
Rumors have it being themed to the Forbidden Forest from the films, but nothing official has been confirmed.

What has been confirmed is that Dragon Challenge is going to be closed on September 5th. The coaster was unique in its design, as it was specifically designed to duel with the other coaster. There were originally several near miss sections of the coaster, where guests would come within 18 inches of the riders on the other coaster. That changed when a rider lost an eye after being hit with something allegedly thrown by a rider on another coaster.

Still, Dragons broke the mold as one the most themed, and highly detailed attractions in the park when it first opened. The attraction itself is a marvel of engineering by Bolliger & Mabillard.

As for the new coaster, details are very scarce, but it will open in 2019 as the first new attraction in Hogsmeade since the land opened in 2010. More details will be forthcoming as the project picks up speed.

What are you hoping happens with the new coaster?
