D23 Japan: New look at Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster

The D23 Expo in Japan rolled out a huge look at a bunch of new attractions coming to Disney parks in the next few years, one of the most anticipated is the all new Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster at Epcot. It will be the first coaster at Epcot, and it will be completely indoors.

While the concept art showcases tons of new characters, it doesn’t show a lot about the new coaster. However, there’s going to plenty to be excited about.

“As we build upon its core mission of optimism and hope to inspire the world, the real will become fantastic and the fantastic will become real—in whole new ways at Epcot,” Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, said.

That’s very vague, but equally exciting. The new coaster will be indoors, and will be the longest indoor coaster in the world. It will also featuring an amazing new ride system that will be one of a kind, and will amaze guests.

We also now know that we can expect it in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, so around 2020-2021!
